KINGSLEY UMADIA
Executive Director
A graduate of Accountancy from the University of Nigeria, Kingsley Umadia started his professional career with Pricewaterhouse (now Pricewaterhouse-Coopers), from where he joined the SCOA Group in 1989 as a Business Analyst. He was at various times Assistant Manager, Audit and Procedures Department and Accountant, Trading Division.After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1990, Umadia joined Midas Merchant Bank as Deputy Financial Controller and later Internal Auditor. He worked with Diamond Bank where he was Head, Financial Control and Planning, Head, Corporate and Investment Bank, Warri and Branch Manager, Warri. He also had a distinguished career with United Bank for Africa Plc where he was Principal Manager - Commercial Banking Delta State and Principal Manager 1 – Commercial Banking and Public Sector, South-South Region before joining Savannah Bank as Deputy General Manager/Regional Director – South-South Region. He set up the Consumer Banking Division at UBA that oversees the Card Business Unit, Transaction Services and Product Development before joining First Atlantic Bank as Head, Collections and Transactions Group. In addition, he headed the Lagos Business Region, Bankwide Operations and Information Technology and was also Chief Inspector of the bank.

At Bank PHB, Umadia was Group Head, Corporate Audit, and later Divisional Director, Corporate Resources and Centralized Shared Services which supervises Treasury Operations, Foreign Operations, Domestic Operations, Central Clearing, Domestic Financial Services, Procurement, Branch Development and Administration as well as General Services. He was also the Acting Head of Service Bank in Bank PHB before joining Spring Bank as Executive Director, Service Bank.

Umadia is an alumnus of the INSEAD Business School, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and University of Benin City, where he bagged an MBA degree. He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), and the Chartered Taxation Institute (FCTI). He is also an Associate of the Nigeria Institute of Management. A widely traveled professional, he has attended various courses both locally and abroad. He is married and has children.
