A reputable banker, Anogwi Anyanwu has over 19 years experience in the banking industry. His long years in the banking sector have seen him occupy so many challenging positions in three different banks namely, Ecobank Nigeria Plc, Citizens International Bank Plc and now Spring Bank Plc. Until his appointment as an Executive Director in Spring Bank Plc, he was the Regional Head, South East II of the bank. Anogwi Anyanwu graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) in 1984 and was awarded the distinguished University prize for the best student by the Department of Statistics and also the Federal Merit Award for Academic Excellence. He is also an alumnus of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) where he bagged an MBA in 1999. He as well did an Advanced Management Programme in Lagos Business School. He is a qualified accountant (ACA, 1989) and was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCAN) in 2000. He was also a 1993 participant in the Best and Brightest African Bankers Programme of IFESII. Anyanwu has been honored with so many awards for his meritorious service by numerous organizations such as the Rotary International and Lions Clubs. He has attended many courses both locally and internationally.
