The Chief Servant, Executive Governor of Niger State , Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu OON has commended the Board and Executive Management of Spring Bank Plc for a job well-done in turning the bank around within a short space of time.

Speaking during the commissioning an ultra-modern branch of the Spring Bank Plc in Minna on Thursday February 14, 2008 expressed happiness that the Board and Executive Management led by the Chairman Mr. Vincent Omoike and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Dr. Suleyman A. Ndanusa OON respectively, for meeting the expectations of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) by retrieving the bank from the brinks of collapse.

The Governor stated that his commissioning of the Minna Branch of Spring Bank Plc being the first of such since his tenure underscored the importance he attaches to the success so far recorded by the bank. He pledged the support of his government to the bank in the State while encouraging the people of Niger State to patronize the bank.

Earlier the Managing Director/CEO of the Spring Bank said that the bank strongly identifies with the progress made with the gradual development and transformation of the State adding that it will support and partner with the government in its poverty alleviation programmes through well-designed products and services in a manner that will impact positively on the personal economies of the people who are mainly farmers, civil servants, teachers and students.

Dr. Ndanusa said that with the state-of-the-art information technology (IT), the bank was poised to deliver cutting edge services to the people of the State.

Present at the event was H.R.H Emir of Minna, Dr. Umar Faruq Bahago CON, State Commisioners, Members of the State House of Assembly, the Managing Director of Nigerian Export and Import Bank, Alhaji Baba Yusuf, top government officials among others.
