Excitement, happiness and gratitude to God and Spring Bank Plc marked the MoneyGram International Instanta Promo draws held recently as a retired civil servant and customer of Spring Bank Plc, Mrs Chinaemenma Cecilia Erete emerged the winner of a brand new Hyundai Getz car.

Another lucky retired civil servant, Mr. Pius Itota, from Benin City, Edo State, along with Mr Obi Uche from Onitsha, Anambra State, won Stallion motor-cycles while the duo of Mr. Niyi Folawewo from Lagos and Mr Abiodun Adeoyin from Oshogbo went home with two Elepaq power generating sets from the event which held at the Oceanview Restaurant to mark the 10th anniversary of MoneyGram International Money Services in Nigeria.

Overjoyed, Mrs Erete who lives in Owerri, Imo State stirred the audience into singing the classic, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” as she stepped out to receive the car keys from the Executive Director, Retail Banking of Spring Bank, Mr Adurrahman Umar. The drama was complete as the Spring Bank Product Officer for MoneyGram Services, Mrs. Kate Ezugwu called Mrs Erete’s son in Spain, Udomsinachi, who sent her the money which transaction qualified her for the draw.

In a voice laden with emotion and excitement, Mrs Erete said the son had promised to buy her a car later in the year, but that God had blessed her with one through Spring Bank and the money sent her by the son. She commended the courteous and respectful attention Spring Bank staff at Owerri accorded her as an elderly person.

On his part, Mr. Itota said he would keep his prize as a memento from the bank since he was past the age of riding a motorcycle.

Speaking earlier, the country director of MoneyGram International, Ms. Joke Giwa said that anybody could be a winner in the MoneyGram Instanta Promo simply by doing a MoneyGram transaction through any one of the agent banks of which Spring Bank is a leading member.
